Karen Whicker

Karen Whicker has over three decades of experience in quality management, currently serving as Quality Manager at EFFECT Photonics since December 2016. Prior experience includes positions as Quality Manager at Gooch & Housego from October 2015 to December 2016, and at Eltek Semiconductors Ltd from September 2007 to September 2014. Karen also held the role of Senior Product Quality Assurance Engineer at Bookham Technology and Nortel Networks between January 1997 and August 2007. Earlier in the career, Karen worked as a Quality Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1987 to 1996. Educational qualifications include an HND obtained from the University of the West of Scotland in 1995 and studies at Edinburgh Napier University from 1978 to 1979, complemented by a foundational education at Cumnock Academy.
