Chief Information Officer at Effective Health Systems

Randy Sysol is currently the Chief Information Officer at Effective Health Systems. Prior to this, they were the Director of Implementation at DropIn Inc from November 2016 to February 2021. While at DropIn, Randy was responsible for harnessing the power of on-demand live video to enable insurers to use the platform for policy acquisition and management. Randy also oversaw the implementation of new and innovative applications to streamline medical, underwriting and operational processes.

Before their time at DropIn, Randy spent 10 years as the Vice President of Information Technology at Preferred Employers Group (a W. R. Berkley Company). During their time there, they were selected as a member of the executive leadership team and was responsible for overall company strategy and planning. Randy successfully implemented and delivered a complex technology road map that transformed the company from a small startup organization to a fully digital firm.

Under Randy's leadership, the team was able to reduce medical costs by 75%, a $25M per year savings, by building a medical bill re-pricing and payment system. They also achieved a 400% growth in revenue while maintaining existing staff levels and reducing transactional processing backlogs from 30+ days to 3 days. In addition, they were able to implement a SAAS based on-line rating and new business submission system for insurance agents and brokers, resulting in 50% increase in new business, 50% reduction in clerical staff, elimination of data entry and automated quoting/policy issuance of

Randy Sysol has a teaching certification in secondary education from State University of New York College at Buffalo. Randy also has a bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing, and human resources from State University of New York at Fredonia. Additionally, they have certifications from LinkedIn in becoming a triple-threat project manager, risk-taking for leaders, and creating your IT strategy. Randy also has a certification from The Institutes in associate automation management (AAM) and from Novell in certified Novell administrator.
