Alessandra Nostro's work experience begins in 2014 as a PHD student at the University of Düsseldorf, where they focused on the multimodal characterization of neurobiological substrates in personality traits and potential gender differences. After completing their Ph.D. in December 2017, they joined the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience as a Postdoctoral Fellow. There, they investigated how the distress of others influences decision-making and prosocial behavior. In 2020, Alessandra took on the role of Senior Scientist at both Alpha.One and expoze.io, where they worked until September 2022. Alessandra then joined Effectory as a User Experience Researcher in November 2022.
Alessandra Nostro's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Biologia Molecolare from the Università degli Studi di Torino, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. Alessandra then pursued a Master's degree in Neuroscienze at the Università degli Studi di Trieste from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they engaged in an Erasmus program at the University of Helsinki from 2012 to 2013. Later, they attended the University of Düsseldorf from 2014 to 2017, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Neuroscience.
