Alexander Mahy

Alexander Mahy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alexander began their career in 1997 as a Development Manager at Rebus Local Government, where they worked until 2000. Alexander then joined IPF as a Network Manager from 2000 to 2005, and later transitioned to the role of IT Manager until 2007.

In 2007, Alexander joined CIPFA as a Group IT Manager, where they worked for over 11 years until 2019. CIPFA is a professional institute for accountants specializing in public services.

Since 2019, Alexander has been working at Efficio, starting as an Information Security Manager and later taking on the role of Senior Information Security Manager/Personnel Security Controller. Efficio is the world's largest Procurement Consultancy firm, operating globally across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Alexander'sresponsibilities at Efficio include managing information security, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001:2013, GDPR, Data Protection, and other relevant standards.

Throughout their career, Alexander has also gained expertise in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, Privacy Shield, and BCRs. Alexander has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring the security and compliance of organizations they have worked for.

Alexander Mahy obtained a BSc Hons degree in Biology from the University of Portsmouth, completing their studies from 1982 to 1984. In addition to their degree, they have acquired various certifications over the years, including Syl Membership from The Security Institute in August 2022 and CQI IRCA ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor and CQI IRCA ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor from ALCUMUS GROUP LIMITED in February 2022. Other certifications include MCIIS from the Chartered Institute of Information Security in May 2021, CQI IRCA ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor from The Alcumus Group in November 2020, CQP MCQI from The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) in July 2020, and IRCA ISMS Internal Auditor from The Chartered Quality Institute in July 2020. Alexander also holds certifications such as CQI IRCA ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor from The Alcumus Group in May 2020, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in June 2019, and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in August 2018. Alexander has further certifications from AgilePM from APMG International in November 2014, MCSA from Microsoft in November 2013, and ITIL Expert from APM Group in January 2011. Alexander Mahy has an additional BSc (Hons) Biology degree awarded by the Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA) in June 1987. Alexander obtained the IRCA OH&S Internal Auditor certification from The Chartered Quality Institute in January 2021.
