Davíð Örn Kjartansson

Davíð Örn Kjartansson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Davíð Örn started their career at Brammer UK as a Data Analyst, specializing in Material Control from May 2014 to August 2015. Following this, they worked as a Summer Intern in the Research & Development Division at Landsvirkjun for three months in 2016.

In 2017, Davíð joined Duggal Visual Solutions as a Process Improvement Engineer, where they worked for a year. Davíð Örn then transitioned to Efficio, where they started as a Business Analyst in July 2018 and worked until June 2019. During their time at Efficio, they progressed to the role of Consultant I from July 2019 to June 2020, followed by Consultant II from July 2020 to June 2021. Davíð Örn then served as a Senior Consultant from July 2021 to December 2022.

Currently, Davíð Örn Kjartansson holds the position of Manager at Efficio, which they assumed in January 2023. In this role, they lead public cloud cost governance initiatives across multiple clients, delivering savings from commitment optimization, rightsizing, and negotiations with cloud providers. Davíð Örn also collaborates with finance and engineering teams to develop multi-year forecasting models and monitor profitability across products, geographies, customers, or users. Additionally, they have played a significant role in delivering procurement change initiatives across various categories, clients, and industries, resulting in substantial annual savings.

Davíð Örn Kjartansson completed their educational journey with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering from New York University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the same field from Háskóli Íslands between 2010 and 2013. Additionally, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers in July 2018.
