David McArdle is a seasoned professional in the field of equality, diversity, and inclusion within football. Currently serving as the Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the English Football League since October 2021, David also contributes to the Mental Health in Football Advisory Panel with The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Previous roles include a long tenure at UEFA, where David engaged with the Academy Alumni Board and the Disability Expert Group to enhance learning experiences and support para-football initiatives. With extensive experience as Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Scottish Football Association, and as the founder of Scottish Para-Football, David has been pivotal in advocating for individuals with disabilities in the sport. David holds advanced degrees from the University of Lausanne and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Paisley, showcasing a solid educational foundation in sport development and management.
