Jakub Botwicz

Jakub Botwicz has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Jakub began their career as an Embedded Systems Programmer at Posnet Polska S.A. in 2003. Jakub then worked as an IT Security Officer, Embedded Systems Architect, and Programmer at Krypton Polska for four years. In 2008, they joined Altkom Akademia as an IT Security Engineer.

In 2010, Botwicz joined First Data Polska S.A. as a Web Application Security Advisor. Jakub then transitioned to a role as a Senior Consultant and later became a Manager at EY in 2012.

Moving forward, Botwicz worked as a Principal Security Engineer and Security Assessment Project Leader at Samsung R&D Institute Poland from 2017 to 2020. Jakub then joined Goldman Sachs as a Security Researcher in the Tech Risk Advisory field.

Currently, Botwicz holds the position of Lead Security Architect at EG A/S, starting in 2023. Additionally, throughout their career, they have also been a part of the Open Source Community as a Security Researcher since 2000.

Jakub Botwicz obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Information Technology from Warsaw University of Technology, during the period of 1999 to 2005. Jakub then pursued a PhD degree at the same institution from 2005 to 2010. Jakub also holds additional certifications including GWAPT (GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester) obtained in October 2013, ECSA (EC-Council Certified Security Analyst) obtained in December 2011, and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) obtained in September 2009. Prior to their university education, Jakub attended I LO Kwidzyn, although no specific details were provided about the duration or field of study.
