Who You Are

You are a self-starter and problem solver with a passion for technology and data. You bring technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to drive business insights and decision-making. Key qualifications include:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Mid-level proficiency in SQL (3+ years).
    • Advanced-level proficiency in data modeling and data structures (3+ years).
    • Advanced experience with data engineering and pipeline automation, preferably with Azure Data Factory and Python (3+ years).
    • Proficiency in database and query optimization, ideally with Azure Synaspe or Azure SQL (3+ years).
    • Proficiency with generating API keys and using them via Python.
  • Methodical Approach:

    • Experience as a disciplined Agile practitioner.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • A knack for mentoring teammates and fostering a learning culture.
  • Desirable Skills

    • DAX/SQL

    • Microsoft Fabric/BI

    • Power Automate

    • Azure Data Factory

    • Postman

    • SharePoint Administration

    • Working with Large Datasets

What You’ll Do

As a Data Manager, you’ll manage our company's data and ensure that data is accurate and up-to-date at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Data Modeling & Engineering:
    • Develop and model new datasets within a Microsoft Fabric platform.
    • Create efficient data pipelines to automate processes.
  2. Collaboration & Business Support:
    • Work with internal stakeholders to understand their operational, regulatory, and reporting needs.
    • Define clear, well-structured business requirements for data assets.
  3. Data Governance & Quality:
    • Build frameworks to ensure data quality, governance, and operational efficiency.
    • Curate and instrument data assets to meet high standards of usability and accuracy.
  4. Mentorship & Culture:
    • Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  5. Operational Delivery:
    • Provide high-quality, reliable data to support key customer and operational processes.
  6. Other IT duties as needed
