Karim Faris

Karim Faris is the current Director at Egnyte. Karim was previously employed at Google from July 2008 to April 2010 as an Investments & Acquisitions member of the Corporate Development team. There, they were responsible for identifying and executing acquisitions and strategic investments. Prior to their time at Google, Faris worked as a Principal at Atlas Venture from July 2002 to January 2007. There, they led all aspects of tech and tech enabled services investing and contributed to portfolio company strategies, organizational and product development, corporate partnerships, financings and exit events. Karim's focus was on media, tech, and telecom. From June 1999 to June 2002, Faris worked as the Director of New Ventures for Level 3 Communications where they were responsible for identifying and investing in new business opportunities with a focus on Internet services, digital media, and wireless technologies. Karim also led product development for the company's voice services. Before their positions at Level 3 Communications and Google, Faris worked as an Associate at Morgan Stanley from May 1998 to September 1998 and at Generation Partners from May 1997 to September 1997.

Karim Faris has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Sc.B. in Computer Engineering & Business Economics from Brown University.
