Alex Shirley

Alex Shirley has an extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2007, Alex worked as a Partner at Corner Film Productions, LLC. In 2010, Alex interned at KETC-TV and later at HEC-TV in 2011. Moving into the technology field, Alex served as an Undergraduate Research/Teaching Assistant and Computer Learning Center Monitor at Missouri S&T from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, Alex interned at the City of Clayton as a seasonal Lifeguard. Alex then worked as a Volunteer Programmer at the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2013 to 2016. Continuing in software engineering, Alex was an Embedded Software Engineer at Milbank | Energy at Work from 2016 to 2017. Alex then joined Ainstein as an Embedded System Engineer, where they developed FPGA configurations, Linux drivers, and open source flight control software from 2017 to 2018. Alex later became a Software Engineer Team Lead at EGYM | DACH, leading the implementation of motor controller rewrite and developing firmware for strength and flexibility machines. Currently, Alex holds the position of Head of Software Engineering at EGYM | DACH.

Alex Shirley completed their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Design Engineering with a focus on Robots, Machine Vision, and Control Systems from the same university, graduating between 2007 and 2011. Alex Shirley attended Ladue Horton Watkins High School from 2003 to 2007, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.

In terms of additional certifications, Alex Shirley obtained several certifications in Go programming from the University of California, Irvine on Coursera.
