As part of the Knowledge Translation and Evaluation (KTE) Team, the KTE Specialist reports to the Manager of Knowledge Translation and Evaluation and a Program Lead, contributing to the evaluation and knowledge translation related to health information technologies in different health care settings. This position will involve the management and analysis of large data sets, reporting findings and providing program related recommendations. The role will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of evaluation plans, creating data collection tools, gathering and analyzing data, and communicating results.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with program leads, staff and external stakeholders in the planning and evaluation of digital health initiatives
Manage large data sets and ensure ongoing data validation and usability, data analysis and reporting
Manage a dashboard view of the data set. providing training to new users as required
Contribute to the development and implementation of evaluation plans, to assess organizational, clinical, and system-level outcomes associated with the implementation of digital health solutions in different health care settings
Create and administer data collection tools to gather and analyze data, and communicate results in various formats, aligning with stakeholder needs for information
Develop case studies that examine the impact of digital health tools within specific workflows, in order to support change management and adoption
Prepare presentations, papers, reports, abstracts and articles
Collaborate with external partners to drive evaluations in digital health
Conduct environmental scans and literature reviews to identify key stakeholders, trends and developments related to different digital health solutions
Support writing and submission of abstracts, research ethics board applications and manuscripts for publication
Contribute to program-wide data governance activities driving ongoing improvements in the quality and management of information assets, and protection of sensitive data in alignment with data governance framework
Work closely with the KTE Functional Manager and collaborate with the KTE team across the organization to drive advancements and excellence in the KTE functional area

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to interpret and explain research methods and results in plain language across diverse audiences and decision-makers.
Masters degree in program evaluation, epidemiology, or in a health-related field with a focus on research and/or evaluation; Credentialed Evaluator status is an asset.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience with preparing reports and ensuring quality of reports and data. Experience with Power BI, or other analytical dashboarding is an asset.
Experience participating in planning and strategy, working on projects related to health informatics, and implementation planning initiatives.
Experience with writing proposals, ethics applications and preparing materials for publication
Demonstrated experience in working in cross functional project teams, building and maintaining effective and productive working relationships in complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare environments.
Demonstrated experience in resolving conflict and successfully building consensus.
Demonstrated experience organizing and maintaining effective project documentation.
Ability to work in a diverse and fluid working environment recognizing that different opinions and backgrounds can bring strength to the tasks at hand.
Some travel within Ontario may be required.
