Laura Main has extensive experience in the health and wellness industry. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the Director of Personal Training at One On One Athletic Club. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the personal training department. In 2012, Laura joined Powerhouse Gym as a Personal Trainer and Sales Manager. Their responsibilities included providing personal training sessions and managing sales. Later in 2012, Laura joined EHM Senior Solutions as a Wellness Coordinator, Life Coach, and Personal Trainer. In this role, they developed and conducted health and wellness programs for residents, staff, and the community. Laura also coordinated and managed services for clients to live independently in their homes through the LifeChoices program.
Laura Main completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts/Psychology from Michigan State University from 1979 to 1983. Prior to that, they attended Harrison High School from 1977 to 1979. In terms of additional certifications, Laura obtained a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Dementia Practice from the University of Michigan in November 2019, and became a Dementia Champion Leader from the Area Agency on Aging 1-B in October 2019. Laura also holds a Certificate in Gerentology, acquired in July 2015, and a CEPD in Dementia Care, obtained in September 2014. Furthermore, Laura obtained certifications in AED/CPR/First Aid from the American Red Cross in April 2011, as well as a Personal Trainer certification from the International Sports and Science Association in March 2011.
