Kevin Skillern has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Kevin has held various roles at different companies over the years.

Their most recent position was as a Managing Partner at Energy Innovation Capital, which they started in April 2015. Before that, they were a Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor at Emerging Infrastructure Capital Partners LLC since April 2013.

From January 2006 to April 2013, Kevin worked at GE Ventures as a Senior Managing Director, Venture Capital, where they led the company's program investing in energy technology companies. During this time, GE was the most active corporate investor in the segment and backed around 50 portfolio companies. Kevin also led a 12-person investment team in the US, Europe, and Israel.

Prior to GE Ventures, Kevin worked at GE Energy Financial Services as a Vice President, Strategic Marketing from July 2004 to December 2005. In this role, they were involved in various funded private equity and debt investments totaling around $1.2bn.

Before joining GE, Kevin was a Senior Associate at Booz Allen from July 1993 to October 2003. There, they provided strategic advice to energy and industrial companies in the US and Europe on topics such as strategy development, corporate finance, and profit improvement initiatives.

Kevin also had a brief stint as an Associate at Goldman Sachs in 1997.

Kevin Skillern completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued their MBA and specialized in Strategy and Finance at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, graduating in 1998.
