Alexander Despotakis

Alexander Despotakis has extensive work experience in various software engineering roles. Alexander is currently employed at Eigen Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer, where they started in October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at the same company as a Software Engineer from October 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining Eigen Technologies, Alexander worked at Recluse Laboratories LLC from January 2018 to April 2020 as a Software Engineer. Here, they specialized in creating threat intelligence systems and cybersecurity products for government and large private entities, with a focus on darkweb and clearnet analytics.

Alexander's work experience also includes a position as a Lead Researcher at WISDM Lab. Alexander held this undergraduate/graduate research position on and off from March 2014 to January 2018 while pursuing their Computer Science degree at Fordham. Alexander'snotable work at WISDM Lab involved assisting the lab with developing a machine learning model to detect Sunni extremist material. Alexander managed a team of researchers for data classification, developed scrapers for jihadist websites, and built and configured an AI testing server.

Additionally, Alexander gained some work experience at Wilson Elser during the summer of 2011 as a Summer Staff. Alexander'sresponsibilities included organizing sensitive data using Excel, logging and merging memorandum of law, and identifying and validating medical experts for expert testimony.

Alexander Despotakis has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science & Psychology from Fordham University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2015. Alexander then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Fordham University from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, they attended Udacity and completed a Nanodegree program in Cloud DevOps and Data Engineering, which they finished in 2020.
