Transon Nguyen has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedicine and engineering. Transon is currently serving as the CEO & Co-Founder of Eigen Therapeutics since October 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Notable for six years, from 2015 to 2021. During their time at Notable, they held various positions including Interim VP of Engineering, Head of Laboratory Automation, and Founding Engineer. As the Founding Engineer, they played a crucial role in the company's early stages, taking on a wide range of responsibilities such as building robotic workcells, developing apps, assisting scientists in lab work, managing HR tasks, and ordering supplies. In addition to their experience at Notable, Transon worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory for one year, from 2012 to 2013.
Transon Nguyen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at UC Irvine from 2006 to 2010. Transon then pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field at UC Irvine from 2010 to 2012. Later, Transon attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2015 to obtain a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Eigen Therapeutics is a biotechnology company on a mission to make therapies that make cancer easier to find and eliminate. Eigen is focused on the development of “priming” therapies, therapies that help targeted therapies reach their full potential by addressing cancer heterogeneity, making cancer cells more vulnerable and/or making healthycells more resilient to treatment. Eigen is building a high-throughput discovery platform to explore the space of priming therapies, leveraging proprietary machine learning algorithms to discover novel associations, new classes of drugs, and new potential therapies that change a cell's state to make it more vulnerable to a targeted therapy. The Eigen platform represents the intersection of biology and engineering, and includes robotic systems, laboratory operations software, and machine learning analysis pipelines—all developed in-house—with the ultimate goal of saving more lives.
