Director Bioinformatics And Applications at Eikon Therapeutics

Richard Hall has a diverse background in bioinformatics, software development, and research. Richard is currently the Director of Bioinformatics and Applications at Eikon Therapeutics since August 2022. Prior to this, Richard worked at Pacific Biosciences for over ten years, where they held various positions including Director from August 2018 to May 2022. Richard also served as a Sr. Scientist in the Bioinformatics Applications Lab from January 2013 to August 2018, and as a Sr. Engineer in Bioinformatics System Integration & Verification from June 2011 to January 2013.

Before joining Pacific Biosciences, Richard worked at UC Berkeley as a Project Scientist from January 2008 to June 2011. Richard began their career at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher from November 2003 to January 2008. During their time there, they developed computational methods for improving resolution in single particle cryo-electron microscopy reconstructions and processed heterogeneous cryo-EM data.

Richard also gained experience in software development and research during their early career. Richard worked at Image Science Software GmbH as a software developer in July 2001. Prior to that, they had a research internship at Accelrys in July 2000. Richard's academic experience includes undergraduate research at Imperial College London from September 1998 to June 1999.

Richard Hall completed their education in the field of biochemistry. Richard obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, completing their studies from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned an M.Res degree in Bioinformatics from the University of York, studying from 1999 to 2000. Richard also holds a BSc degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, which they achieved from 1996 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification called "Performance Management: Conducting Performance Reviews" from LinkedIn in January 2022.
