Ómar Danielsson

2nd Engineer at Eimskip

Ómar Danielsson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ómar started their career in 2010 as a Maintenance Engineer for Brovig Tank, where they worked on chemical and product carriers. In 2012, they joined Neptune hf as a 2nd Engineer on the DP1 multy survey vessel Poseidon, performing tasks such as sediment sampling and Rov jobs. In 2013, they worked as a 2nd Engineer on the whale hunting boat Hvalur 9, mainly operating boilers and handling maintenance. Ómar then joined World Wide Supply in 2014 as a 2nd Engineer, where they set up cargo systems and dealt with guarantee claims. In the same year, they also started their own business, Pallur.is, as the owner and manager. In 2017, they joined Marel as an Electrician until 2019. Currently, they are working at Eimskip as a 2nd Engineer.

Ómar Danielsson attended the Maritime Academy of Iceland from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Marine Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they went on to study at The School of Electrical Technology from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Electrician and Marine Engineering, focusing specifically on Electrician studies.
