Emma Fagan

Emma Fagan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the electricity transmission sector, currently serving as Principal Engineer and Team Lead for Future Operations at EirGrid since July 2009. Fagan's leadership roles include overseeing System Studies aimed at advancing renewable energy goals, ensuring compliance with EU Network Codes, and guiding transmission network planning efforts. In addition to EirGrid, Fagan has contributed to the PWN Dublin network as VP of Membership Experience, fostering career development for women. Previous experience includes roles in regulatory affairs at TransGrid in Australia and a solid foundation in Grid Code management and development at EirGrid. Fagan holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
