Eoin Kennedy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Eoin began their career at Dublin City University as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Electronic Engineering from September 2003 to August 2005. Eoin then moved on to Maynooth University, where they worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering from September 2005 to February 2008. In 2008, Eoin joined EirGrid and worked their way up, starting as a Senior Engineer from March 2008 to October 2009, then as a Senior Lead Engineer from November 2009 to May 2014, and finally as a Principal Engineer from June 2014 to December 2017. Eoin transitioned into a Strategy Programme Manager role from January 2018 to October 2019, served as the Head of Network Planning (Interim) from November 2019 to October 2020, and is currently the Head of Future Operations, starting in October 2020.

Eoin Kennedy's education history begins in 1996 when they enrolled at Dublin City University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. Eoin successfully completed their undergraduate education in 2000. Afterward, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a PhD in Electronic Engineering between 2000 and 2005. Following this, Eoin Kennedy pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at University College Dublin from 2011 to 2013.
