Dirk Foreman

Dirk Foreman has been with the Velcro Companies since January of 2016, and is currently their Global Chief Commercial Officer & President - North America. Dirk is responsible for leading the company's four regional Presidents/Managing Directors in North America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific, as well as continuing responsibilities as President - North America. Dirk is also Chairman or board member of legal entities.

Under Dirk's leadership, the company has seen a great deal of success. Dirk was instrumental in restructuring a complex, siloed organization into a unified global matrix structure, enhancing inter-regional cooperation, improving the customer experience, lowering operating expenses, and improving the utilization of capital. Additionally, Dirk implemented a global accounts program which has accelerated growth to a CAGR of 10+% in 2018 and 2019 - more than double the previous five years.

Most recently, Dirk has partnered with the Chief Operations Officer to globalize the manufacturing footprint to create a unified supply base. This has improved lead times and customer service, produced fewer made to stock parts, rationalized CAPEX, and lowered direct labor costs.

Dirk Foreman has a Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese Language/Brazilian Studies from UC Santa Barbara, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration from San Francisco State University's Lam Family College of Business, and completed an International Education Abroad Program through Stanford University where they studied Portuguese Language and Literature and Economics at the Universidade de São Paulo. Dirk Foreman also has a Graduate Certificate in Telecommunications Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and a Graduate Certificate in Telecommunications Management from San Francisco State University.
