Philip Bastos Martin has a diverse educational background in the field of law. In 1986 to 1989, they completed their LL.B. (Hons.) degree with a focus on Law, French Law, and Portuguese at the University of Essex. Following that, in 1989 to 1990, they pursued a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.) in European Law at the Université de Nancy II in France. Finally, in 1994 to 1995, they attended the Inns of Court School of Law in London, where they gained their Barrister degree. As of April 2022, Philip obtained a Practising Certificate from The Bar Council of England and Wales.
