James L. Reed

James L. Reed is currently the SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Eisenhower Health. James has held this position since December 2018. Prior to that, they were the Deputy General Counsel at Eisenhower Medical Center from June 2013 to December 2018. From June 2012 to June 2013, they took a Planned Mid-Career Sabbatical. Before that, they were Counsel, Regional Operations, Peninsula Coastal Region at Sutter Health from June 2011 to June 2012. Prior to that, they were Associate General Counsel at Loyola University Health System from November 2004 to May 2011. James also worked as Associate General Counsel at Vi, formerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt, from December 2000 to December 2001. Their first position was as Assistant Regional Counsel at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from December 1996 to December 2003.

James L. Reed attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where they received their Juris Doctor degree. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Miami University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, French, and anthropology. James also studied government and French at Cornell University.
