Mark Fiedler is an experienced embedded software engineer currently working at Ekso Bionics since February 2023. Previously, Mark operated as an independent contractor from August 2016 to February 2023, focusing on firmware development for bare metal and lightweight RTOS embedded systems, particularly in hard real-time motion control applications. Mark's tenure at Ekso Bionics from August 2009 to August 2016 involved developing firmware for a wearable exoskeleton robot aimed at rehabilitation for spinal cord injury patients, under FDA regulations. Additional experience includes roles at SunPower Corporation, where Mark developed a monitor for residential solar systems, and at RGB Spectrum and Berkeley Process Control, working on control software for video processing and firmware for motion controllers, respectively. Mark holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering Controls from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
