Martha Cardenas-Singh

Martha has been a proud resident of the city of El Centro. She views the city of El Centro and its vast resources as an opportunity to promote public health, affordable housing, and pathways to higher education and employment. If elected, they need to take immediate action to improve unemployment and under-employment rates, economic development, homelessness and access to healthcare services through a collaborative effort.

As a community advocate, she had nurtured a deep commitment to social, environmental and economic justice. In her current position as the Assistant Director for the University of California San Diego- California Student Opportunities and Access Program, she had the opportunity to encourage all students to access a higher education and/or a career technical pathway. She serves as President of MANA de Imperial Valley, Treasurer for ARC Imperial Valley, Vice President of Soroptimist of El Centro, Treasurer for Vo Neighborhood Medical and a founding member of the I.V. Unity Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
