Rita Galeano

Rita Galeano is the current Director of IT at El Espectador. Prior to their current position, they worked as Coordinadora de Reportes y Procesos at Quality Software from January 2006 to December 2008. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's report writing area, optimizing resources, gathering information, analyzing, designing and developing reports in Crystal Reports under ORACLE 9i, 10g and SQL SERVER 7.0, 2000 and 2005 databases. Rita also programmed stored procedures, triggers, views and general database management using tools such as PL-SQL, TOAD (Oracle), Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, Profiler (SQL Server) in order to develop processes. Additionally, they were responsible for migrating stored procedures, triggers, views and SQL statements in general from SQL SERVER to ORACLE and vice versa.

Galeano has also administered databases (restoration, user creation, backups and script generation). Rita has been involved in up to 10 projects for both state and private sector companies. Additionally, they were responsible for auditing the ISO 9001:2000 standard for the Analysis and Design and Development areas of the company. Rita is skilled in managing personnel, working in teams and working under pressure.

They work with Elva Lucia Daza - Gerente de Mercadeo Relacional, Santiago Díaz - Secretario General, and Mónica Cortés - Gerente de Publicidad. Rita Galeano reports to Eduardo Garcés, Gerente General.
