Melissa Sattler Gordon, MSPH, RD, is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in nutrition and wellness education. Currently serving as Program Manager for the WIC program at El Paso County Public Health since June 2020, Melissa leads a team of 38 staff members. Previous roles include Director of Nutrition and Wellness Education at the University of Pennsylvania, where strategic planning for nutrition programming was overseen, and SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator at Ascentria Care Alliance, focused on community partnerships and nutrition education. Melissa's early career includes pivotal internships and roles at reputable organizations such as Johns Hopkins, where clinical nutrition skills were developed. Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh.
