Raghavan Palaniappan

Raghavan Palaniappan is an accomplished Principal Scientist and Director at Elanco since January 2023, overseeing an analytical group focused on the development, validation, and transfer of assay development and reagents for biologics, while leading efforts in new product development and life cycle management projects. Previously, Raghavan served as an Interim Senior Director and Site Head, managing both analytical and process teams. Raghavan's extensive experience at IDEXX from 2006 to December 2022 included leading teams in antigen and antibody capture assay development, recombinant protein expression, and biomarker discovery, as well as engaging with key opinion leaders and regulatory bodies. Raghavan's early career at Cornell University involved significant research on the pathogenicity and diagnosis of infectious diseases, contributing to the development of recombinant proteins for immunological studies. Raghavan holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University and has completed postdoctoral research at Cornell University and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology.
