Shawn Hooton

Shawn Hooton has extensive experience in solutions architecture and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic since June 2018. Prior to this role, Shawn was Solutions Engineering Manager at Hortonworks, contributing to enterprise data platforms through Hadoop from October 2014 to June 2018. Earlier career positions include Senior Field Engineer at Pivotal Inc., Principal Sales Consultant at Oracle, Independent Consultant at NetJets, and various roles at Affinion Group and Trilegiant. Shawn began a professional journey in technology as a Unix Engineer at CUC International and an intern at IRD Mechanalysis, Inc. Education was obtained from The Ohio State University between 1992 and 1995.
