Steve Furniss is an accomplished sales executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various technology companies. Currently serving as Area Vice President for Emerging Markets at Elastic since March 2022, Steve is tasked with building a high-performance sales team to enhance enterprise sales growth. Prior to this, Steve held multiple senior positions at Hitachi Vantara from 2014 to 2022, including Vice President of Customer Solutions for EMEA and Vice President of Strategic Solutions & Partners, focusing on customer digital transformations. Steve's earlier career at Oracle and Sun Microsystems included transformative roles in storage sales and strategy, where significant revenue growth and team leadership were achieved. Steve began the professional journey at IBM, where innovative product development management contributions were made. Educated at Aston University with a 1st Class Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Steve possesses a robust technical foundation complemented by a strong track record in sales and organizational success.
