John McCurley

John McCurley is a multifaceted professional with experience in writing, software engineering, and teaching. Currently serving as a Reader for Iowa Review and a Consultant for the Eleanor Crook Foundation, John McCurley has also held the roles of Pflughaupt Writing Fellow and Instructor at the University of Iowa since August 2020. Previous positions include Staff at Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, Lecturer at University of Colorado Boulder, and Chief Operating Officer at USA Notary. John McCurley was a Software Engineer at Telmate, contributing to multiple Ruby on Rails applications, and a Technical Writer/Editor at Indiana University, focusing on grant proposals and scholarly articles. John McCurley earned an MFA in Poetry from the University of Iowa and holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Reed College.
