Pinar O'Flaherty

Pinar O'Flaherty has an extensive work experience in the field of instructional design, facilitation, and project management. Pinar started their career as a Freelance Analog Animator in 1995 and later worked as an Instructional Designer at General Assemb.ly in 2013. In the same year, they also joined Hyper Island as a Learning Design and Facilitation professional, where they collaborated with a global team to design and deliver workshops and programs for digital professionals. Pinar then worked as a Senior Instructional Designer contractor at Google in 2014 and as an Education Services Manager at Medialets from 2011 to 2013.

In 2013, they also started working as a Learning Strategist, Instructional Designer, and Project Lead as a freelancer at CoreAxis Consulting, where they led various projects to design and develop curriculum and e-learning for company training programs. Pinar's role as a consultant/freelancer involved working with different companies to develop educational programs and content, providing services like needs assessment, curriculum mapping, material development, facilitation of workshops, and training experiences.

Currently, Pinar is working as a Learning Strategist, Instructional Designer, and Project Lead at ELB Learning (formerly eLearning Brothers), starting in 2022. Throughout their career, they have worked with renowned companies, including American Express, Doberman, Revlon, Dentsu Aegis Network, Lloyds Bank, Twitter, SapientNitro, and EBSCO, PILOT.

Pinar O'Flaherty holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Communications and Technology, which they obtained from New York University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Time-based Visual Arts at the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Pinar also attended Bradley University from 1991 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art and Design.
