Christopher Courtin

Chief Engineer, Technology Demonstrator at Electra.aero

Christopher Courtin began their career in 2010 as a Fellow for Princeton in Africa. In 2012, they co-founded Solair Technologies. In 2013, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Convergent Dental. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an Aerospace Research Engineer/Small Unmanned Aircraft Designer for Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation. In 2017, they became a Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2020, they joined Electra.aero as the Technology Demonstrator Chief Engineer and Lead Engineer, eSTOL Concepts, where they are responsible for developing electric short takeoff and landing aircraft.

Christopher Courtin received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from Princeton University in 2010, majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Christopher then went on to pursue a Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 2019 with a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Christopher is currently enrolled at MIT working towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Christopher also holds a Private Pilot (ASEL) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
