Matt Gielen's work experience begins in 2007 at Believe LTD, where they worked as an Executive Producer. In 2009, they joined Driver Digital as the Head of Production and Audience Development, where they developed programming strategies, built the Driver Digital network, and managed promotional campaigns for clients such as Old Navy and Colgate. Matt stayed at Driver Digital until 2012.

In 2012, Gielen moved on to Frederator Networks, Inc. and took on the role of Director of Programming & Audience Development. Matt was responsible for overseeing the team building Cartoon Hangover, which reached 1 million subscribers in just over one year. Matt also played a significant role in utilizing Adwords' TrueView ad platform for Cartoon Hangover's success. In 2015, Gielen was promoted to Vice President of Programming & Audience Development at Frederator Networks, Inc. In this role, they oversaw multiple divisions, including O&O YouTube channels, networks, and client services, and successfully programmed and built audiences for the company's properties.

In 2016, Gielen joined Little Monster Media Co. as the Chief Executive Officer. Little Monster Media Co. is a premier agency that helps build YouTube audiences. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Electric Monster, starting in 2021.

Throughout their career, Gielen has demonstrated expertise in building audiences, programming, and implementing successful strategies. Matt has also managed promotional campaigns for well-known brands and networks.

Matt Gielen obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from Columbia University in 2007.
