Benjamin Schenkman serves as a Senior Principal Technical Lead at EPRI since January 2021, focusing on electromagnetic threats and critical power systems. Responsibilities include generating high-frequency models using EMTP and ECAT-3D to evaluate high-altitude electromagnetic pulse impacts, designing tests for critical component insulation, and disseminating HEMP information through workshops and publications. Prior to EPRI, Benjamin held positions as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Senior R&D Electrical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories from May 2004 to January 2021. Benjamin holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from New Mexico State University and is currently a PhD Candidate in the same field at the same institution.
