Glen Ackermann has extensive experience in business development and strategic planning. Glen currently serves as the Department of Defense Business Development Lead at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), where they focus on decarbonizing the energy sector while ensuring a resilient and affordable power system. Prior to EPRI, Ackermann held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Dynamic Aviation, where they led three business segments and was responsible for strategic growth and new business planning. Glen also served as the Senior Director of Business Development at DynCorp International, leading business development efforts in the Middle East and with the US Navy. Additionally, Ackermann worked as an International Business BD/Capture Manager for Northrop Grumman and as an International Business Development Analyst for Lockheed Martin. Earlier in their career, they held various leadership positions in the US Navy and NATO.

Glen Ackermann obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University, which they attended from 1977 to 1982. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations at the Naval Postgraduate School, from 1989 to 1990. Glen also participated in an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School, where they completed a course titled "Aligning Strategy and Sales." Additionally, they returned to Old Dominion University to complete another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, although the start and end years for this second degree are not specified.
