Misty Mitchell, CDP®, has extensive work experience in the fields of purchasing, supplier diversity, and corporate social responsibility. Misty currently serves as the Head of Purchasing & Supplier Diversity at Electrify America since January 2022. Prior to this, from June 2021 to February 2022, they held the role of Corporate Social Responsibility & Diversity Manager at the same company. Misty Mitchell initially joined Electrify America in July 2018 as a Buyer, specializing in EV infrastructure.

Before their tenure at Electrify America, Misty Mitchell worked at Gate Gourmet starting in June 2008. Misty held various roles during their time there, including Procurement Category Manager from May 2013 to July 2018. Misty also served as a Manager in the Analysis and Account Services Group from April 2012 to May 2013 and as a Senior Data Analyst/Database Administrator from June 2008 to May 2012.

Misty Mitchell, CDP®, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Bowie State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Before that, they attended Ferrum College from 1999 to 2000, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.

In addition to their formal education, Misty Mitchell has obtained several certifications. Misty completed the OneNote 2016 Essential Training through LinkedIn in January 2023. Misty also obtained the Email Marketing: Strategy and Optimization certification in August 2021, as well as the Certified Diversity Professional certification in May 2021, both through LinkedIn and the Institute for Diversity Certification, respectively. In March 2021, they completed a course on Inclusive Female Leadership from LinkedIn, and in July 2020, they completed courses on Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues and Unconscious Bias, also through LinkedIn.
