Susan Rakes

Susan Rakes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Susan most recently worked as the Sr. Director of Business Development at Electus Global Education Co, Inc. Their responsibilities in this role included developing business strategies and overseeing the company's expansion. Prior to this, Susan held the position of Content Writer and Job Coach at the same company.

Before joining Electus Global Education Co, Inc., Susan worked as the Chief Program Officer at the Jack & Jill Center, a nonprofit education and social service organization. In this role, they played a crucial part in the executive leadership team and supervised program operations, facilities, and educational technology implementation.

Susan also gained valuable experience in the nonprofit arts and education sector as the Deputy Director/Assistant Director at the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood. Susan worked closely with the Executive Director and was responsible for managing the organization's activities and implementing growth strategies. Additionally, Susan served as the Director of Education at the same organization, where they oversaw all educational programs and led the expansion of offerings.

Their earlier experiences include working as an Instructor at Miami-Dade Private School, where they integrated instruction of language arts, reading, and drama for grades 6-12. Susan also developed a performing arts program and designed curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each student.

Furthermore, Susan founded and directed Susan's Little Actors Children's Theatre, a youth theater group that utilized theater and the arts to educate and teach core subjects to elementary and middle school students. The group performed at various venues and was approved by the Hillsborough County Arts Council.

Susan Rakes holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of South Florida. Susan also obtained a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Arts Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Furthermore, Susan completed a Post-Master's Certification in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including the Google Certified Educator Level 1 from Google and the Director Credential Advanced Level from the Florida Department of Children and Families. Susan also holds certifications in Educational Leadership All Levels and Elementary Education from The Florida Department of Education, as well as a Staff Credential VPK from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
