Terrence Hanscom

Terrence Hanscom is currently a Field Application Scientist at Element Biosciences and also serves as a Consultant in Biology and Sequencing for Form Bio, both roles starting in late 2024. Previously, Terrence held the position of Senior Scientist at a Stealth Startup, focusing on gene therapy development and molecular assay development from September 2023 to June 2024. At Homology Medicines, Inc., from March 2021 to August 2023, Terrence was a Scientist I in Molecular Genomics, leading the development of novel gene-editing therapies and sequencing methods. During a PhD candidacy at Tufts University from September 2015 to March 2021, Terrence specialized in gene editing outcomes and Next Gen Sequencing, while also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and mentoring undergraduate research projects. Terrence holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts.
