Gabe Ellwein, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gabe started their career as a Financial Advisor at Ulland Investment Advisors, where they provided strategic investment recommendations in the telecom and computer systems industries. Gabe then worked as a Senior Consultant at Larson Allen Weishair LLP, where they specialized in valuation modeling and financial benchmarking.

Moving on, Ellwein joined Target Corporation as a Finance-MBA Intern, where they developed sales models and inventory forecasting strategies. Gabe then transitioned to Best Buy, where they held various positions including Senior Financial Analyst, Merchandise Planning Manager, and Senior Merchant in the Computing & Tablet Connections division. While at Best Buy, they were responsible for financial forecasting, negotiations with vendors, and cross-functional leadership in planning and forecasting processes.

After their tenure at Best Buy, Ellwein joined Bluestem Brands, Inc. as Director of FP&A & Decision Support. Here, they focused on process improvement and strategic analysis, leading the implementation of financial planning systems and creating financial models to assess business viability.

Currently, Ellwein is the Head of Finance Department/Senior Vice President of Finance at Element Electronics. In this role, they oversee the treasury and risk functions, implements capital and tax planning strategies, and develops banking relationships.

Throughout their career, Ellwein has demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, process improvement, strategic analysis, and cross-functional leadership. Gabe Ellwein, MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance/Strategy from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management in the years 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Carleton College between 1996 and 2000.
