Steve Brooks

Steve Brooks has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Steve started their career in the US Navy as a Naval Officer, where they successfully completed two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. As an Engineering Watch Officer, they led a team of technicians and managed a division of nuclear-machinery mechanics.

After their military service, Steve joined TriQuint Semiconductor as a Product Engineer, responsible for the manufacturing yields of the business unit's largest revenue part. Steve improved yield by 5% through data analysis, experimentation, failure analysis, and improved testing, resulting in significant cost savings.

Steve then worked at Bonneville Power Administration as an Engineer for seven years before joining Peninsula Light Company as an Engineer. In these roles, Steve showcased their engineering expertise and contributed to the success of these organizations.

Most recently, Steve joined Elemental Machines as a Junior Data Analyst, leveraging their analytical skills to support the company's data analysis efforts.

Steve Brooks attended the United States Naval Academy from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, Steve went on to the Naval Postgraduate School from 2001 to 2002, earning a Master of Science degree in the same field of study. In 2008, they enrolled at Portland State University and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2011. Steve also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power, obtained from the Washington State Department of Licensing.
