Chao Liu, Ph.D., is a Research and Development Scientist at Elephas since August 2022, specializing in multimodal optical imaging and developing advanced microscopy platforms to predict cancer immunotherapy responses. Previously, Chao served as a Research Fellow at the MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, where a novel automatic optical imaging system to quantify three-dimensional neuronal connections in human brain samples was developed. As a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Minnesota Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, Chao designed a multicolor two-photon/three-photon microscope, contributing to significant physiological experiments on neurovascular coupling. Chao Liu holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Engineering in Laser and Optical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, with a publication record of three first-authored papers and one grant as principal investigator.
