Priit Heinla

Priit Heinla currently serves as Offshore Grid Development Manager at Elering, a position held since April 2014, where responsibilities include leading interconnector projects to enhance connections between Estonia, Finland, and Latvia. Additionally, Priit manages the FSRU connection unit, focusing on constructing a gas connection in Estonia to diversify natural gas sources amid changing geopolitical conditions. Priit has also proposed the Baltic Offshore Grid Initiative to harness offshore wind potential in the Baltic Sea. Earlier experience includes serving as Project Manager for the Balticconnector pipeline investment and as Site Engineer at Wärtsilä for the Kiisa Emergency Reserve power plant construction. Priit holds a Master of Science in Thermal Engineering from TalTech and is currently furthering studies at the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
