David Allen

David Allen is a highly experienced AI engineer and software engineer with a strong background in machine learning and applied research. Currently, David serves as a Senior Principal AI Engineer at Elevance Health since May 2023. Prior to this role, David worked at Google from December 2015 to March 2023 as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in machine learning, where responsibilities included developing production ML models, enhancing model development infrastructure, and leading teams in prototype creation utilizing Large Language Models. David's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Staff Scientist and Research Staff Member at HRL Laboratories, LLC from 2006 to November 2015, focusing on multi-year research projects in complex networks and event prediction, utilizing big data technologies. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, as well as a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from UCLA.
