Jamie Simmons

Jamie Simmons is a Program Manager at Elevate since May 2023, previously serving as a Community Engagement Reporter at Michigan Radio from December 2021 to May 2023, and as Engagement Director for the Michigan Climate Action Network from February 2021 to December 2022. Earlier experience includes an internship with the City of Lansing, focusing on community asset identification and service distribution for parolee success, as well as providing support to probation officers at the 54B District Court. Jamie's expertise in social media was developed while interning as a Social Media Coordinator for the International Interdisciplinary Research Consortium on Cybercrime. Jamie holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Michigan State University.
