Rion Dennis

Rion Dennis is a seasoned professional in government affairs and advocacy, currently serving as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition since October 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Legislative & Advocacy Director at Americans for Financial Reform from December 2017 to October 2022, and Strategic Campaign Coordinator at Change to Win Federation from September 2015 to July 2017. Rion also held positions such as Mid-Atlantic Regional Field Director at NAACP and Policy Coordinator at Restaurant Opportunities Center United. Leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director of Progressive Maryland and Director of Grassroots Organizing at Maryland Citizens Against State Executions. Rion's career began at the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights as Development & Policy Assistant. Rion earned a Bachelor's of Arts in African-American Studies from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between 1996 and 2001.
