Lara Toscani Weems

Lara Toscani Weems has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Lara is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Global Communications at Elevate Sports Ventures since March 2022.

Prior to that, Lara worked at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment from September 2019 to March 2022, holding the position of Vice President of Corporate Communications. Lara also served as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications at the same company from November 2017 to March 2022. In these roles, they supported the corporate communications for various sports teams and entertainment venues within the company's portfolio, including the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils, and the Prudential Center.

Before their time at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, Lara worked at the Philadelphia 76ers as the Director of Corporate Communications from October 2015 to March 2022.

Lara's career began at the Harlem Globetrotters, where they held the position of Director of Marketing from June 2012 to October 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing & Public Relations Consultant for the company from October 2011 to June 2012.

Lara also gained valuable experience at Comcast Spectacor, where they held various positions from May 2005 to September 2010. These roles included Director of Marketing & Sales, Senior Marketing Manager, and Marketing Manager. Lara was responsible for the marketing and public relations of concerts, family shows, and special events at Comcast-Spectacor managed arenas in different locations.

Throughout their career, Lara Toscani Weems has demonstrated their expertise in global communications, corporate communications, marketing, and public relations in the sports and entertainment industry.

Lara Toscani Weems completed their Masters in Tourism Administration with a specialization in Sports Management from The George Washington University School of Business in 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a double major in English and Kinesiology at William & Mary from 2000 to 2004, earning an MA and an MS.
