Daniel Wanis-Ruiz

Daniel Wanis-Ruiz has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel is currently serving as the Vice President of Partnerships at Elevated Signals, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Partnerships at the same company from February 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Elevated Signals, Daniel worked at Creative Destruction Lab. Daniel started as a Venture Manager in July 2017 and stayed in this role until June 2018. Daniel then took on the position of Senior Venture Manager from July 2018 to August 2019. Finally, they served as an Associate Director from September 2019 to January 2021.

Additionally, Daniel has experience as a Design Consultant at Syn.ap.tic Health Spinal Cord Injury and Neurorehabilitation Centre from January 2013 to January 2017. Daniel collaborated with the executive team to develop branding and promotional content.

Daniel also worked as a Health Researcher and Policy Analyst at Summit Counselling Group Inc from March 2015 to March 2016.

Furthermore, Daniel has served as a Research Assistant at York University from September 2013 to January 2015. During this time, they conducted research on cognitive phenomena and processed qualitative and quantitative data for experimentation and analysis.

Daniel was a Digital Specialist at Shola Designs from April 2013 to August 2014, where they played a crucial role in developing the North American brand by creating promotional items and increasing social media presence.

Daniel's experience also includes working as a Workshop Developer (6 Month Contract) at John Casablancas Institute from March 2013 to August 2013 and as a Marketing Assistant (3 Month Contract) at The University of British Columbia from September 2012 to December 2012.

Lastly, they served as the Development and Communications Lead at the University of Calgary from May 2010 to August 2012.

Daniel Wanis-Ruiz completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Calgary in 2012. During their undergraduate years, they specialized in Biological Science and Mathematics. Daniel then pursued further studies and completed a Masters of Health Leadership and Policy at The University of British Columbia from 2016 to 2017. Their area of focus in their master's degree was Seniors Care.
