Peter Dewhurst has a wealth of experience in the energy industry, with a career spanning several companies. Peter joined Origin Energy in 2000 as a State Sales Manager, where they were responsible for managing a team and achieving sales targets. Peter then moved to Energex in 2004, where they served as the Sales Manager for Queensland and Victoria, focusing on marketing and selling natural gas, electricity, and total energy solutions. In 2008, they joined AGL as the Manager of Projects and Advisory, overseeing the development of a new energy services business and providing technical and regulatory advice to industrial and commercial energy consumers. Peter later became the Manager of AGL Boilers, expanding the business to new states and establishing AGL as a credible market participant in the industrial boiler market. In 2013, Peter joined Elgas Limited as the National LNG Sales Manager, where their responsibilities included driving the growth of the LNG business and developing innovative solutions for blending biogas and LNG. Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated a strong ability to lead teams, develop new business opportunities, and achieve sales objectives.
Peter Dewhurst completed their education at two different institutions. From 1995 to 2001, they attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) where they obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree in the field of Business/Commerce, General. Their earlier educational experience took place from 1977 to 1982 at North Trafford College of Technology. During this time, they earned a Diploma in gas Engineering and a Diploma of Energy in the field of Energy Utilisation and Technology.
