Matthew Sheppard

Matthew Sheppard is an accomplished conductor and music director with experience at various orchestras, symphonies, and educational institutions. Matthew holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has degrees in Orchestral Conducting, Violin Performance, Music Education, and Liberal Arts from Pennsylvania State University. Sheppard currently serves as the Education Conductor at Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director at Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Artistic Director at Hyde Park Youth Symphony, among other prestigious roles.
