Bernard Gustin has been Chairman at Elia Group since 2019.
Bernard was previously CEO of Brussels Airlines from 2008 to 2018, during which time they played a key role in the merger between SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express.
From 1999 to 2008, they were Head of Travel and Transport Practice, Partner, and Member of Benelux Management Committee at Arthur D. Little. Bernard created the business plan of Sabena’s successor SN Brussels Airlines during their time there.
Prior to Arthur D. Little, they worked as Finance Manager Benelux for Procter & Gamble from 1999 to 1999.
Before their current role, they were also Member of the Board of Directors at Germanwings GmbH from 2014 to 2017.
Bernard Gustin has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, a Postgraduate in International Comparative Management from Ichec Brussels Management School, and a Commercial Engineer degree from Ichec Brussels Management School.

Elia System Operator SA is a Belgium-based electricity high-voltage transmission system operator.
